Francisco Javier Córdoba
Career
Francisco Javier Córdoba Donado, Director of Major Projects, is a PhD (c) in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He also holds an Executive MBA and a Master’s Degree in Management of Construction and Real Estate Companies from IE Business School in Madrid, as well as an MBA in Digital Business from The Power MBA.
Javier’s professional career has developed across various European construction companies and in academia.
En la multinacional FCC Construcción, S.A. ha sido Director General realizando proyectos en Madrid y en Europa (Reino Unido y Hungría).
At Alpine BAU GmbH, an Austrian multinational construction group, he held the positions of CEO, Managing Director, and Member of the Board of Directors.
At Alpine Holding GmbH (the parent company of Alpine BAU, Alpine Energy, and Alpine Real Estate), he also served as CEO, Managing Director, and Board Member.
During this period, the company delivered projects throughout the European Union, the former Yugoslav republics, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China, and the United States of America.
He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Croatian multinational real estate and construction company Osijek Koteks.
He also held the position of Director and Board Member at the UK-based company FCC Elliot Construction Limited.
He is a Chartered MsC of Civil Engineering, Expert Witness, Mediator, and Council Member of the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers.
He has taught at CEU Business School and at the European University.
Currently, he is a researcher at the Environment, Coasts and Ocean Research Laboratory (ECOREL) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
